When the day of prom finally arrived, I actually wasn't that excited. It was kind of a gloomy day at first, and it rained. But then the sun came out and everything just seemed exciting again.
[My lovely date & I]
[My corsage]
I got some last minute things that day, and then went to get my hair done. I got home later than I wanted, so I kind of had to rush to get ready. Jeff came to pick me up, and we headed to my friend Eva's house. Everyone in our limo met there. Our families took a bajillion pictures before we went off to the Hyatt Harborside, where the prom was being held.
[Posing for the camera]
I was worried we were going to be late, but we weren't. We took some more pictures and had some drinks before we were allowed into the Grand Ballroom. Inside, there was a buffet and we ate before people started to dance. I danced with Jeff of course and my friends. My knees started to hurt, haha. Good thing we could take our shoes off or else those would have killed!!
[What I ate]
[Some of my friends]
After prom, we went bowling at Boston Bowl. People looked at us funny in our prom dresses & tuxedos, but oh well. I was tripping over my dress the whole time so I didn't bowl so well...
The limo dropped everyone off, and I hung out with Jeff the rest of the night. I got home at four in the morning, and slept until like one in the afternoon!! It's the latest I've every slept, haha.
I'm uploading my photos onto Facebook right now. I wish it would hurry up!!

goodbye high school
The last day of high school didn't feel like the end at all. Even at this moment, it still hasn't hit me that I'm DONE. I woke up this morning and tried to think of what homework I had to do!! The answer is NONE.
So on the last day, I basically did nothing in my classes. And then after lunch, all the seniors went to the auditorium to watch the "senior slideshow" made by some fellow classmates. They do it every year, but it wasn't even that great. But after we had our "ice cream social" where we got ice cream sundaes and those huge mugs you can eat soup out of.
I walked around the school for perhaps the last time...bringing back things for home and saying goodbyes to underclassmen. The orchestra class gave all the seniors a card, a flower, and a book about friendship. It was really sweet of them.
Later that night was the annual Awards Night where they hand out scholarships and awards. It's not the most exciting thing in the world, but I always like seeing who gets what. I got the Alfred Della Paolera Memorial Scholarship, Jack Hahn Music Award, and a community service award. I was pretty content with it.
I still have to blog about prom!! I'll do it tomorrow - er, today.

bittersweet
Well today's entry was supposed to be about my last day of high school.
But I just got into an argument with my mother so I'm feeling angry & upset.
I'll just save that for tomorrow, I guess.

AHHH.
I went to the mall after school today with Jeff to pick up his tuxedo for prom.
And then I got a couple things I needed...
Uh yeah so I lost Jeff's phone...I was holding it in my pocket for him when I went to use the restroom. I didn't want it to fall into the toilet so I took it out and placed it on top of the toilet paper dispenser. And then I forgot about it until 15 minutes later. I ran back to the bathroom but it was gone!! We reported it so hopefully maybe there are good people in this world. I doubt it. I feel sooo bad, but Jeff isn't mad at me thankfully.
Tomorrow is my last day of high school. We're going to see the senior slideshow and have ice cream sundaes. I can't wait. Oh and it's Awards Night too! All those long-awaited senior events are coming now - and way too fast.

memorial day
The weather was nice & sunny again yesterday. Jeff, my sister and her friend went cruising around. We went to eat at Porter Square, and saw the remains of my beloved Kotobukiya. It's so depressing. Porter Square is going to die!!
We ate at Tampopo. I had the soboro egg bowl and Jeff had a squid bowl of some sort. Yum!
I only have two more days of high school left!! It's soooo weird.

sunday shoe shopping
Yesterday, I went shopping with Jeff, my mom, and my grandmother at Wrentham. I needed to buy some last-minute stuff. I only got my shoes though, but it's better than nothing! I still have to get a few things...
Along with my prom shoes, Jeff bought me the pair of shoes I've wanted FOREVER. They're from last season, so I looked everywhere for them online. I bid on them twice on eBay and lost both times. I eventually gave up on them. When we passed by Nine West yesterday, I didn't even think they'd be there. But Jeff was like you never know...so we looked. AND THERE THEY WERE!!!
There's a minor flaw in them that I only noticed when I got home. Nothing big though. New shoes are the best. I love you Jeffrey <3>
My last week of high school begins tomorrow. It's scary and exciting at the same time. It's too bad I still have some psychology assignments to do. But there's a bunch of senior activities coming up, so hopefully it'll be fun.

time flies by
I've been horrible this week, not blogging for days! But there's a reason for my absence. As my final days of school are coming down to a close, I'm being bombarded by projects and essays. So not cool! But here is the long Memorial Day weekend so I thought I'd write an entry when I had some time.
On Wednesday night, it was the spring concert at my school. My last concert of high school, the last I'll ever play in that orchestra. It's kind of sad because I'll probably rarely touch my violin again when I go off to college. I'm not planning on joining the orchestra at my university or anything. But maybe I'll try private lessons again? I didn't appreciate them back then!
[My moment of glory]
[Personality poster I did for psychology class]
I went on probably the first (and only) field trip this year on Thursday. It was a ridiculously nice day. Really sunny and warm for once. It is nearing the end of May after all. We ate lunch at Chipotle first because the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum doesn't open until 12:30. I don't like burritos. All I have to say. We went on a tour inside the museum. I always hate tour guides because they talk a shitload. SALLY kept asking us to interpret the art when I just wanted to walk around and look at everything myself. We didn't even get through all the sections!! I would like to go back another time because it was just a beautiful museum. The history of the museum is quite interesting too, but I'll spare you readers. It's too bad we weren't allowed to take pictures.
[The courtyard inside the museum, so pretty]
When I got home from the museum, I had a fever of 102! I think it was a mild heatstroke. It was unfortunate I had to complete my final project for contemporary literature that night too.
Yesterday, my high school was a ghost town. Literally no one was there. The last three Fridays of school are skip days for the seniors, so the majority of them weren't there. The junior class decided to have their own skip days too, so not many of them were in school. And then most of the freshman and students taking physics went on a field trip to Canobie Lake Park. I should have skipped because it was such a waste of a day! It was in the 90s and everyone probably went to the beach.
But after school Jeff picked me up and he brought me some dim sum because he thought I was still sick. But I'm all better. We ate and finished the drama we were watching. The rest of the night was basically a joyride. We were going to walk around Harvard Square but it is extremely difficult to find parking. So we rented another movie and called it a night.
It's dropped back down to the 60s today. Damn New England weather! It better not be like this for my prom or graduation. Speaking of which, I have to do some last minute shopping...

the busy bee
My posts have been lacking and pretty boring lately. The days, I just keep counting down the days until I graduate and that's not very interesting for readers.
So this week I'll probably not blog too much cause of the projects I have to do. I love how school has been so boringly easy for the past couple months and all the teachers decide to give us so much work the last minute. It's not good for my senioritis.
Now I must go do the aforementioned projects.

yesterday, today
Good morning.
It's 10 in the morning but I was feeling up to blogging.
Yesterday, Jeff and I went to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. I thought it was a good movie. Then we stopped by the mall because it was close by. We went to the pet shop and saw the cutest dogs. I want the Pomeranian...so adorable and fluffy! We walked the length of the whole mall and that's pretty much all we did.
There was a carnival set up by the mall, but we didn't have time to go. Maybe next time, if it's not gone by then!
Today I have to go back to the tailor's to see if my prom dress now fits properly.
I'm crossing my fingers.

vogue decor
While looking through the archieves of a site featuring people's homes, I found something I would love to have myself in Krysten Ritter's home.
In case you don't know she is, Krysten Ritter is an actress. I think most recently she was in Confessions of a Shopaholic.
BUT HERE IT IS : a blown-up photograph of JULIA STEGNER, from a Vogue Italia supplement a few years back!!!
This would be perfect for my new room, only there would be nowhere to place it.
I wonder if she's a fan of Julia's, or if it's random?

the weekend in a nutshell
I'm overwhelmed by the allergies. The constant itchy eyes and stuffy nose is killing me. And the medication doesn't help either. So I keep rubbing my eyes and blowing my nose. One of the downs of spring.
But the weather's been looking a little better. This weekend I went with Jeff to get a tux for prom. I still need to find shoes and a purse to match my dress. And I'm still waiting for my dress to be back from the tailor's.
I also went bowling with Jeff and his roommate from college, who brought some of his friends. I'm not very good at bowling but I wasn't the worst! Jeff is very competitive so he gets mad when I beat him. Which is every time :]
On Mother's Day, my family went to dim sum and I spent the day with my mom grocery shopping and shopping shopping. Other than that, nothing much happened...
Tomorrow is my AP psychology test!! I should really get cramming because I don't know a lot. But I'm confident that I'll at least pass. And after the test our teacher is treating us to ice cream.
And it will be that much closer to the end of senior year.

this and that
Even though the end of senior year is approaching quickly, there's still many obstacles to go through.
My AP psychology test is next week...I should study a lot more. I think I could do very well if I studied enough. But there's not drive in me to study. Oh, senioritis.

wild wednesdays
I'm just kidding, my day wasn't wild at all.
It was an early release day at school today, so we got out at 12 o' clock.
The only reason that was my title is because Jeff and I decided to go eat lunch at Wild Willy's. I'd never been there before even though it's close to home. It's a burger place, so we both got different types of burgers and onion rings.
I took a couple of photos:
[Our meal]
[Mural on the wall - look at the animal-shaped clouds!]
[His burger, cause mine wasn't as "pretty"]
After, we just sat on the couch watching a random Korean drama borrowed from the library, My Lovely Sam-Soon. It's okay, but getting better.

cinco de mayo
Happy Cinco de Mayo! I'm not sure what celebration that even is in the Hispanic world. I think it's like celebrating some battle...I always get it confused with the Day of the Dead. How shameful, considering I've been taking Spanish for almost seven years now. Oh and funny coincidence that the Spanish AP test was today, haha.
Last night I got to see Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson in concert! Lady Gaga is simply "fantastical". Kelly Clarkson's got a good voice, seeing as she did win American Idol! I would share lots of photos, but I don't want to spam my whole page. So if you're my friend on Facebook you can see them.

RANDOM PHOTO TIME!!!
[The two books I'm currently reading, one for class & one for leisure]
[My new gladiators!]
[Late birthday present from a friend, so cutely wrapped]
Listening to Lady Gaga now just isn't the same after seeing her live.

My lovely boyfriend got tickets for us to see Lady Gaga & Kelly Clarkson at the House of Blues tonight!
I'm very excited. I love Lady Gaga. And Kelly Clarkson's good too, but I liked her back then more.
Just had to sneak in a blog entry before I work on my homework.

counting down the days
I'm trying to do my psychology homework right now, but I can't concentrate. It could be due to the fact that my dad is watching Hong Kong dramas in the same room I'm working in. I should really try to review, since the AP test is in ONE WEEK. Damn.
[Alessandria Ambrosio's editorial in Numero Tokyo]
Last week we were lucky to have a couple days of summer weather. I really want summer to come. After these two weeks of AP testing, the countdown to graduation will be flying by. And then summer will be here.
I don't know what I'm even doing this summer. But I can't wait.
